OVERVIEW GK Reid is a producer of films, music videos, commercials, and photography, best known for his work with artists such as David Bowie, Rihanna, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Kim Kardashian. Described as “A Renaissance man” (Soma), for his multifaceted collaborative approach across design, music, and social justice advocacy, resulting in numerous awards and museum exhibitions worldwide.
His work has won 2 Gold Lions at Cannes Festival of Creativity for Digital Death/TBWA for a video and stills campaign against HIV in Africa and India. His work also won the top 4 awards at the Fashion Film Festival La Jolla at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, including "Best Picture" for Producing and "Best Fashion" as Costume Designer, for "Legend of Lady White Snake," sponsored by MAC Cosmetics. GK's designs for the film were exhibited in the windows of Barney's New York, at the Fashion Institute of Technology NY. The film was shown at SHOWstudio Cabinet London, the Georges Pompidou Center Paris, the Australian Center for the Moving Image and the Lincoln Center NY.

SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EQUALITY GK works passionately for social justice and equality. His Digital Death against AIDS in Africa, starring Kim Kardashian, Usher, Serena Williams, Jaden and Willow Smith in coffins, raised much awareness and over a million dollars in under a week for AIDS in Africa for Keep A Child Alive. His Girl Epidemic against trafficking of girls in Asia, won the Best Film Award at CNN's Expose awards, presented by Quincy Jones, with Project Nanhi Kali. He produced Girl Rising India, with Freida Pinto, Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt, in collaboration with women weavers' collectives in Bengal, and the film became central to the Indian government's Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign for girls' empowerment.
BACKGROUND The son of a Native American healer, GK was raised between an artist's community in New Mexico, and sword-fighting and serving thousands daily in Amritsar, India. Escaping to London’s club culture, a meeting on the tarmac of Heathrow with Isabella Blow inspired GK’s creative explorations, and his first commissions by David Bowie and Iman launched his powerful artist collaborations.
Now based between NY and LA, GK excels at building community and positivity through creative collaborations across the world.
